Sourced from Kenya and beyond, we have tactically built a string of high quality, bush wise horses. They are professionally trained, by both Sarah, to handle the unpredictable nature of the bush, for everyone's comfort, safety and enjoyment. Our horse safaris are aimed at more accomplished riders who are confident and capable of immersing themselves in true wilderness. We traverse all kinds of terrain which will ultimately determine the type of ride you will endure; from slow, gentle rides in the rocky valleys, to faster riding on the open plains. We often take spare horses with us too who run freely alongside the group to share the workload and incase of injury.

As such a precious commodity, our horse's wellbeing and safety are paramount, both at home and on safari. After their long days work they are content to be fed, watered and bedded down on a picket line for a well earned rest, under the watchful eye of our night ascari. We  also ensure they are fitted with top quality English leather saddles or Australian stock saddles. It is of our highest concern that we provide tack that is both practical but also comfortable for both riders and their horse. We like to provide all aspects of animal husbandry ourselves, including veterinary and farriery care, along with our team of diligent and intuitive syces.

Please note: Prior to going out into the bush on horseback, you will be assessed to ensure you are below our weight limit of 90Kgs and that you are of a competent riding ability. This will be done before leaving base camp to ensure everyone's safety.
